Add lean protein sources to your diet, including chicken, turkey, lean beef, fish, eggs, nuts and seeds.

Fat should not be avoided in the diet. Healthy fats are needed for normal functions, hormonal balance and good skin and hair health. Avoiding unhealthy fats like saturated fats which are often found in fried foods, butter and cakes. They increase the risk of heart disease and stroke. Instead, it should consume foods with unsaturated fatty acids and healthy omega-3 fatty acids. These foods include fatty fish such as salmon and tuna, nuts, olive oil and butter.
